Rear Suspension Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
Rear suspension bottoms too easily	Adjust torsion spring preload to achieve proper static sag (see Initial Spring Preload Setting (Sag Method).dita). Change torsion spring to stiffer optional spring (your dealer can perform this service). Revalve rear track shock (your dealer can perform this service). Rotate RRSS to higher position (see Weight Transfer During Acceleration).
Rides too stiff in rear	Check for binding suspension shafts and grease all pivot points. Adjust torsion spring preload to achieve proper static sag (see Initial Spring Preload Setting (Sag Method).dita). Change torsion spring to softer optional spring (your dealer can perform this service). Check track tension (see Track Tension). Rotate RRSS to lower position (see Weight Transfer During Acceleration).
Machine darts from side to side	Your dealer can perform a ski alignment inspection. Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely. Check for excessive play in steering assembly (your dealer can perform this service). Ensure skags are straight on skis. Set static sag (see Initial Spring Preload Setting (Sag Method).dita). Check rail slide/replace if worn (see Rail Slide Wear). Install Accu-Trak dual skags (your dealer can perform this service).
Front end pushes	Check for worn skags. Check for binding front suspension shafts and steering components, grease all pivot points (elevate front of machine). Set static sag (see Initial Spring Preload Setting (Sag Method).dita). Install single skag (your dealer can perform this service). Increase IFS preload (if equipped) (see IFS Shock Spring Preload). Rotate RRSS to higher position (see Weight Transfer During Acceleration).
Steering is heavy	Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely. Your dealer can perform a ski alignment inspection. Check skags and skis for damage. Set static sag (see Initial Spring Preload Setting (Sag Method).dita).
