Electronic power steering (if equipped) engages when the ignition key is turned to the ON position. EPS remains engaged whether the vehicle is moving or idle. To conserve battery power, the EPS will shut down 5 minutes after the engine is stopped if the key remains in the ON position. The EPS warning indicator will illuminate to indicate the EPS has shut down. Turn the key off and on to reset the unit. If the light remains on after starting the engine, the EPS system is inoperative. See your POLARIS dealer, or other qualified person, as soon as possible for repair. Continued operation could result in permanent damage to the EPS unit and increased steering effort.
