Shock Adjustment Recommendations

NOTE
These settings are only guidelines. The spring preload and shock clickers can be adjusted further to match your personal riding style and location of weight on the vehicle.
WARNING
Be advised that the shocks contain nitrogen at high pressure. Damaged shocks could cause injury if not replaced or addressed promptly by qualified personnel.

All shock adjustment clicks are measured when starting from full stiff (clockwise position).
Follow these guidelines when making adjustments to this suspension.
  • Always return the suspension to factory settings after the load is removed from the vehicle. The increased suspension height will negatively impact vehicle performance when operating without added load.
  • Always apply equal adjustment to both front corners and equal adjustment to both rear corners.
  • Do not increase the spring preload by more than one inch (25.4 mm) over the factory setting.
Adding extra weight to the vehicle will decrease ride height and cause the shock to operate in the stiffer bypass zones. To correctly compensate for added cargo or accessory weight, spring preload should be added to keep the shock in the optimal zone and maintain ground clearance.
Refer to the following adjustment table to correctly compensate for weight added to the vehicle.

Front / Rear Spring Preload Adjustment

  1. Unlock the adjustment rings by rotating the top ring counter-clockwise.
  2. Elevate the vehicle to allow the suspension to fully extend.
  3. Turn the adjusting ring to the left to add preload. Turn the adjusting ring to the right to remove preload.
  4. Lock the adjustment rings by rotating the top ring clockwise until tight.
WARNING
Uneven adjustment may cause poor handling of the vehicle, which could result in an accident. Always adjust both the left and right spring preloads equally or have your POLARIS dealer or qualified person perform the adjustments.
