Suspension Troubleshooting

Rear suspension bottoms too easily

  • Refer to the Suspension Quick Set-Up Guide for details.
  • Revalve rear track shock (see your dealer).

Rides too stiff in rear

  • Refer to .
  • Check for binding suspension shafts and grease all pivot points.

Too much weight transfer when climbing

Refer to the Suspension Quick Set-Up Guide for details.

Too little weight transfer when climbing

Refer to the Suspension Quick Set-Up Guide for details.

Machine darts from side to side

  • See your dealer for ski alignment inspection.
  • Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely.
  • Check for excessive play in steering assembly (your dealer can assist).
  • Ensure skags are straight on skis.

Front end pushes

  • Refer to the Suspension Quick Set-Up Guide for details.
  • Check for worn skags.
  • Check for binding front suspension shafts and steering components, grease all pivot points (elevate front of snowmobile).
  • Increase IFS preload (if equipped).

Steering is heavy

  • Refer to the Suspension Quick Set-Up Guide for details.
  • Make sure spindles and all steering components turn freely.
  • See your dealer for ski alignment inspection.
  • Check skags and skis for damage.
