WHERE IS TRAIL COVERAGE?
Ride Command trails
currently cover 85%+ of the legal riding opportunities across the
United States for ORV and Snow. Polaris
Ride Command works with Associations and Clubs to
ensure all trails are properly vetted and up to date. Canada coverage
will
be coming soon.
WHAT SIZE USB DRIVE DO
I USE TO UPDATE MY PIDD?
Please use a 4
or 8 GB USB drive to update your PIDD.
HOW DO I UPDATE THE SOFTWARE
ON MY PIDD?
The software update
is embedded in the “Update Trails + Base Map” and the “Update Trails
Only” files. There is no separate
update to update just the software for the PIDD.

HOW DO I FIND THE USB
CONNECTION ON MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE?
The USB connections
are typically in a sealed dry storage area on the vehicle. Reference
PIDD owner's manual showing locations
on each vehicle for the USB connection.
WHY DOES MY DISPLAY NOT
ACQUIRE SATELLITE SIGNAL OR GPS?
In the GPS satellite
screen (Main Menu -> GPS Manager -> Satellite Status), if less than
4 satellites are shown, move to an
area with an unobstructed overhead view. If problems
persist, check connections on GPS receiver on vehicle or see your
dealer.
NOTE: PIDD will acquire satellite reception faster
if the vehicle is stationary and with a clear view to the sky.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO
WHEN I GET A “MEMORY FULL” WARNING WHILE IN THE MAP/TRAIL SCREEN?
You are reaching
the limit allowed for an individual track. Save the current track,
and start a new track. Up to 10 tracks
can be saved.
HOW DO I HOOK-UP MY
PHONE VIA BLUETOOTH TO THE PIDD?
The PIDD has the
ability to be connected to notify the rider of incoming phone calls
or text messages from a Bluetooth connected
phone. To connect a phone to the display, use the
Phone menu item in the display menu. Reference PIDD owner’s manual
for full
details on connecting your phone via Bluetooth;
see the phone's owner's manual for specific Bluetooth functionality.
HOW DO I SET THE CLOCK
ON MY DISPLAY?
Two options exist
for the clock function. GPS source automatically sets the clock when
there is GPS signal. The internal clock
can be manually set through System Settings -> Time.
Ensure the time zone (GMT offset) and daylight savings mode are correct
for your location if in GPS mode.
